Wet Effect vs Arabic Volume Lashes

Wet effect vs Arabic volume lashes in Vancouver, WA: wet effect $165, Arabic volume $245

Wet effect and Arabic volume are both bolder than a natural set, but they look very different. I’m Julia, a lash artist in Vancouver, WA. Here is the short version: wet effect is $165, takes about 2 hours and gives you defined, glossy spikes. Arabic volume is $245, takes about 3 hours and gives you the densest, darkest set on my menu.

Here is how they compare, with the two sets in between.

Style Full set Takes Look
Soft Hybrid $155 About 2 hours Natural, soft and textured
Wet Effect $165 About 2 hours Glossy, defined spikes
Glam Volume $185 About 2 hours 30 minutes Full and fluffy
Arabic Volume $245 About 3 hours Dense, dark and dramatic

Wet Effect Lashes: Glossy, Defined Spikes

Wet effect is the look of lashes that have just been styled: defined, glossy spikes instead of a soft, fluffy fan. A full set is $165 and takes about 2 hours.
The fans are not opened all the way, so the tips stay together and read as separate sharp strands. That is what gives the textured, wet look. It is trendy and bold, but it does not feel heavy.
I recommend it if you want a modern, defined look without the weight of a full dramatic set. If you want a soft, blended, fluffy look instead, hybrid or Glam Volume is a better fit.

Wet effect lashes: glossy, defined spikes, $165 for a full set, about 2 hours

Arabic Volume Lashes: Dense, Dark and Dramatic

Arabic volume lashes: dense, dark and dramatic, $245 for a full set, about 3 hours

Arabic volume is my boldest set. A full set is $245 and takes about 3 hours.
The fans are fully opened and packed close together, so the lash line looks very dense and very dark, almost like a thick liner. I usually add the most length at the outer corner, which makes the eye look longer and more lifted.
It is made for people who love bold, dramatic makeup. If you want to look natural, I will point you to hybrid or wet effect instead.

Which One to Pick: Wet Effect or Arabic Volume

Pick wet effect if you want a trendy, textured look that still feels light. Pick Arabic volume if you want the fullest, darkest set and you love a dramatic eye.

The difference you will notice first is the price and the time: $165 and about 2 hours for wet effect, $245 and about 3 hours for Arabic volume. Arabic is also the denser, heavier look, and your natural lashes come first, so I check them at your consultation before we decide.

Arabic volume is the denser look, so it is the heavier of the two. I choose the weight to suit your natural lashes, and I will tell you at the consultation if I think a lighter style is a better choice for you.
Yes. If you want a bolder or a lighter look next time, we can change the style at a later visit.
