Lash Extensions

Cat Eye vs Fox Eye Lash Extensions

Cat eye vs fox eye lash extensions in Vancouver, WA: a lifted cat eye or a sharper fox eye, built on soft hybrid or volume

Both lift the outer corner, but they do it differently. Cat eye builds length toward the outer corner for a lifted, elongated shape. Fox eye lifts and extends that corner even further, so it looks sharper and more dramatic. I’m Julia, a lash artist in Vancouver, WA, and I build both around your eye shape and your natural lashes, on a soft hybrid or volume base. You can see both on my cat eye and fox eye page.

Here is a quick guide to the difference.

Look Outer corner Effect Good for
Natural set Even length, close to your own Soft and balanced A first set or a subtle look
Cat Eye Length builds toward the outer corner Lifted and elongated Soft to bold, many eye shapes
Fox Eye Lifted and extended even further Sharper and more dramatic A bolder, more graphic look

Cat Eye: Lifted and Elongated

Cat eye keeps the shortest lashes at the inner corner and builds length gradually toward the outer corner. The eye looks lifted and a little longer, a bit like soft winged liner.
Other lash artists often say it suits almond, round and upturned eyes. I design around your own eye shape, so I would rather look at your eyes than promise a match from a list.
It can be soft or bold, on a hybrid or volume base. The price follows the lash style you choose, from $155 for Soft Hybrid to $245 for Arabic Volume.

Fox Eye: Sharper and More Dramatic

Fox eye lash extensions: the outer corner is lifted and extended for a sharper, more dramatic look

Fox eye takes the same idea further. The outer corner is lifted and extended more, so the look is sharper and more dramatic.
Other artists often say it works well on hooded and downturned eyes. If you want the lift without the drama, a softer version is possible.
One honest caveat: if your natural lashes are very short or weak, a full fox look can be too much for them, and I would start softer. Longer extensions at the corner put more weight on a single natural lash.

Which One to Pick: Start With Your Eyes

The shape and the style are two separate choices. The shape is where the length goes, and the style is how the set is built, from soft hybrid to volume. Price follows the style, from $155 for Soft Hybrid to $245 for Arabic Volume, and I give a personal quote for your final set.
